Mitra

For Panasonic ACs on MirAIe · Mac & Android

Every setting,
one tap away.

Mitra lays out every mode, fan speed and air direction of your AC at once, and draws the air while it flows. A free, open-source alternative to the MirAIe app.

Go on, try the panel. It’s the real thing, minus the AC.

Lay it all out

No more cycling.

The remote makes Mode a single button: Auto, Cool, Dry, tap after tap. Mitra puts every mode side by side, so Dry is one tap. Fan speed and air direction too.

Remote3 tapsMitra1 tap

Draw the air

See what your AC is doing.

Mitra draws your unit blowing air the way it really does. The flap tilts to the louver you pick; on swing, the air sweeps up and down and side to side at the unit’s own pace.

Fan speed

Quiet drifts. High rushes.

Auto, Quiet, Low, Medium and High, named just as the MirAIe app names them. The air takes on each one’s pace, so a glance tells you how hard it’s working.

Only what you have

Warm air rises.

Heat and nanoe X appear when your unit reports them, and you can switch features on or off for each AC. The panel never offers a button that does nothing.

Always in sync

Off, gently.

The fan winds down, the air thins out and the flap swings shut, like the real thing. Change anything with the remote or the MirAIe app and Mitra follows straight away.

On your Mac

Lives in your menu bar.

The set temperature sits right beside the menu bar icon. One click opens the panel, from anywhere on your Mac. Right-click for Refresh, Preview Mode and Settings.

“Turn on the AC in Mitra for MirAIe.”

Siri handles power, temperature, mode and fan speed. Every action is in Shortcuts too, so the AC can switch itself on before you get home.

Made for your AC

Switch Heating, nanoe X and Converti7 on or off for each unit, so the panel matches your model exactly.

Updates, quietly

Mitra checks GitHub once a day and offers the new version right in the panel. You can turn that off.

New on Mac and Android

Set it, and sleep on it.

Timers and sleep profiles, a feature you won’t find in other apps for these ACs. Your AC keeps them itself, so they carry on while your Mac sleeps or your phone is off.

On the Mac: the Timer controls, with Turn off and Turn on times and quick picks from 30 minutes to 4 hours
On Android: the Timer controls, with Turn off and Turn on times and quick picks from 30 minutes to 4 hours

Timers

Off in an hour, or on by morning. Pick a time, or anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours from now.

On the Mac: the Sleep controls, with Gentle and a profile of your own ready to start
On Android: the Sleep controls, with Gentle and a profile of your own ready to start

Sleep profiles

Start one and your AC follows it through the night. Gentle, the AC’s own, holds your temperature for three hours, then warms a degree, then another.

On the Mac: the profile editor, with a bar for each hour’s temperature
On Android: the profile editor, with a bar for each hour’s temperature

Your own nights

Drag a bar to set each hour’s temperature, and choose whether the AC turns off when the profile ends.

Whatever’s set shows under the drawn AC, such as “Off at 9:20 PM” or “Night · hour 2 of 4”.

On your phone

Your AC, alive on Android.

The AC and its air fill the screen, and every control sits on a glass panel at the bottom, right under your thumb.

The Converti7 strip on Android: Off and every cooling level from 40% to 110% in one row above the button
Mitra on Android in Cool mode at 27°, with every setting one tap away on the glass panel
Preview Mode on Android in Auto, with a sleep profile and an off timer shown under the AC

Converti7, one tap

A glass strip with Off and every level from 40% to 110% in one row, to save energy or cool harder.

Every control under your thumb

Louvers, fan speed, mode and extras on one glass panel at the bottom.

Preview Mode

Try every control without touching your AC. Timers and sleep show under the unit.

Or skip the app.

Is Mitra an alternative to the MirAIe app?

Yes. Mitra is a free, open-source alternative to the MirAIe app for Panasonic ACs. You sign in with your MirAIe account and control the same ACs, but every mode, fan speed and air direction is one tap away instead of cycling through them, and it adds timers and sleep profiles. It’s independent and unofficial, not made by Panasonic.

Is there a MirAIe app for Mac?

Mitra puts your MirAIe AC in your Mac’s menu bar, with the set temperature beside the icon, every control one click away, and Siri and Shortcuts. It runs on macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel, and there’s an Android app too.

Why does my Mac ask before opening it?

Mitra isn’t signed with a paid Apple Developer ID. The first time, click Open Anyway in System Settings › Privacy & Security. After each update macOS asks for your password once or twice before the new version can read your saved sign-in; choose Always Allow and it stays quiet until the next one.

How do I install the Android app?

Mitra isn’t on Google Play, so download the APK on your phone and open it. If Android asks, allow your browser to install unknown apps, then tap Install. If Play Protect says it doesn’t recognise the app, tap More details › Install anyway. To update, install the new APK over the old one; you stay signed in.

Where are the Mac widgets?

The widgets and the Control Center toggle need an Apple developer team, so the downloaded app doesn’t include them. Build Mitra from source with your own team to get them. Siri and Shortcuts work either way.

Can I try it without signing in?

Yes. Choose Try it without an account for a demo AC, or switch on Preview Mode to try the controls without sending anything to your real unit.

How does it talk to my AC?

The way the official app does. MirAIe has no public API, so Mitra signs in to your MirAIe account over REST, then sends commands and receives live status over MQTT. Commands update the panel instantly, and the AC confirms them a second or two later.
